For shame: The Maori party leadership has sold it’s soul.

Perhaps it is fitting that with the Pakeha working class the Maori workers find out that the elite will sell out to the elite and leave the little people, Maori or otherwise to fend for themselves no matter what colour or race or culture.

Today the Maori party leadership aligned themselves with a party who supports the privatisation of water. For me that ends the idea that Maori party leadership are fit to bring Maori issues to the table.

Shame, absolute shame on Pita Sharples for even contemplating working with National. For Maori workers and Pakeha workers National is the absolute enemy. I’m a taoiwi, a stranger to this land and even I can smell National’s betrayal from a mile away. The Maori party leadership will deserve every thing coming to them and none of it will be good. Shame, shame, shame.

Maori Party co-leader Pita Sharples is to become Maori Affairs Minister under his party’s deal to support a National government.

Dr Sharples and fellow co-leader Tariana Turia will also get a number of other portfolios.

Mrs Turia will be Minister for the Community and Voluntary Sector, Associate Health Minister and Associate Social Development Minister.
