Eight years later, federal investigators are looking for evidence that J.P. Morgan violated the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act by giving jobs to Chinese government officials’ children in return for lucrative investment-banking assignments. Other banks are also under investigation for such hiring, The Wall Street Journal has reported. Wall street Journal October 2014
In China if you want to open a bank you hire a son or daughter of the people who allow you to operate in China. That’s how business is done. JP Morgan found out that this was not without pitfalls when they started to hire the children of the rich and powerful when they opened for business in China and they where pinged for bribing and corruption.
In today’s New Zealand hiring a member of the elite in return for opening a
looting operation bank is perfectly acceptable.
I think it’s treason and I think it is only a matter of time before most Kiwi’s feel the same.
Popular uprisings of the disposessed and the people who are subjugated to foreign rule no matter if that is part of a financial war or a hot war always have had a really nasty way of dealing with what in Holland where called Colaborateurs or Collaborators in post WWII Holland. The black market merchants, the people who voluntarily worked with the Germans to suppress and loot their fellow men.
In Revolutionary France thousands of bankers, tax collectors and civil servants where strung up and gutted by angry mobs. The king and the hoipeloi got the guillotine but the people enforcing their brutal regimes suffered horrible deaths.
I sincerely hope it doesn’t come to that but at the rate National is selling this country while introducing draconian spy laws which by the way are the norm in China, and themselves to the highest bidders I am fearful they may not read the warning signs and think that their behaviour at the cost of the common man is the new moral code and perfectly normal until it is too late.
The Bank of China has become the 25th bank operating in New Zealand, its registration coinciding with a visit from Chinese President Xi Jinping.
It is the third state-owned Chinese bank to open branch in the country in the past 12 months, and like the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) and the China Construction Bank (CCB), also has former National Party MPs on its payroll.

“The reciprocal trade opportunities between New Zealand and China are significant, and both President Xi and the Prime Minister, the Right Honourable John Key, have agreed that we lift the trade ties to a level of $30 billion – that’s up from $18 billion at present,” Mr Tremain said on Firstline this morning.
“The Bank of China has clients that are already doing business in New Zealand, so they believe it’s a great opportunity to set up and support those clients.”
