Fallon once famously said that war with Iran would not happen on his watch. Well, his watch has ended. He was forced to step down because he was sick of the wars of aggression and against attacking Iran. No wonder they don’t want him to testify.
PENTAGON (AP) – The Pentagon won’t be including Admiral William Fallon as 1 of its witnesses when military and diplomatic officials testify in front of Congress next month.
The hearing focuses on the next steps in the war on Iraq.
The Pentagon says the decision not to include Fallon has nothing to do with his abrupt resignation as the head of U.S. command in Iraq and Afghanistan. Fallon announced earlier this month that he’d be leaving his post on March 31st. The move triggered accusations that Fallon was forced out because of his opposition to the administration’s policy toward Iran.
