The Taliban, backed by Pakistan, are set to retake control of Afghanistan after Nato-led forces withdraw from the country, according to reports citing a classifed assessment by US forces.

The Times described the report as secret and “highly classified”, saying it was put together last month by the US military at Bagram air base in Afghanistan for top Nato officers. The BBC also carried a report on the leaked document.

“Many Afghans are already bracing themselves for an eventual return of the Taliban,” the report was quoted as saying. “Once Isaf (Nato-led forces) is no longer a factor, Taliban consider their victory inevitable.”

The document stated that Pakistan’s security agency was helping the Taliban in directing attacks against foreign forces – a charge long denied by Islamabad.

I know, I know that will never happen but I put it too you that the establishment is feeling the rising anger of the unemployed and the poor and dispossessed and those who have absolutely no future in the current social system and if anything the meagre and inadequate “humbling” of just one of the perpetrators of the huge banking scam we are currently seeing unravelling might be seen as an attempt to distance themselves from the most obvious odious psychopaths in the system.

What makes it so interesting is that while yesterday the same news paper announced the shredding of the knighthood it took only one day to come up with an article defending the system and calling the event banker bashing as if we are dealing with a mere case of income envy and not a call for a more sensible and less corrupt system which favours Psychopaths over the common man and woman. Could that be because the powers that be don’t want more attention on the banking world and its extension into NZ politics with our lying scumbag bankster Prime Minister John Key?

America’s top intelligence official has claimed that Iran’s leadership was now more willing than before to carry out an attack inside the US, and that intelligence agencies were worried about plots against US and allied interests around the world.

In a report to Congress, the director of national intelligence, James Clapper, said a plot to blow up the Saudi ambassador in a Washington restaurant – which the US blamed on Iran’s Revolutionary Guard – “shows that some Iranian officials, probably including supreme leader Ali Khamenei, have changed their calculus and are now more willing to conduct an attack in the United States in response to real or perceived US actions that threaten the regime”.

Two ships of the US Navy, the nuclear submarine USS Annapolis and the destroyer USS Momsen have passed through the Suez Canal into the Red Sea. Although their destination is confidential, they are now getting dangerously close to the Persian Gulf.

­The ships’ passage was a major operation for the Suez administration as due to safety reasons they had to close off the canal to all other traffic and even shut down the bridge, disrupting the link between the banks for some four hours. The traffic on the roadways alongside the canal was also restricted, Interfax news agency reports.

Here is one selling us the idea that online censorship is a great idea and here is one selling us the cashless society which will enable the power that be to monitor every financial move you make.

The first article describes how filters will make Pirating (evil stealing bastards) and paedophile sites (evil molesters) a thing of the past but fails to mention that in order to filter these evil scourges out everything has to be filters and that includes everything you do online. What it also fails to mention is the fact that if your government is allowed to filter these things they can filter anything.

A prime example is for example the site naked capitalism can not be seen in Iran because of the word “naked” while the site itself deals with the rampant disaster that is the Capitalist system.

And while I abhor Paedophilia and assorted vices if you allow others to decide what is good for you inevitably they will decide what they think is good for you and that might include the censorship of political sites our ruling and deciding elite does not like .

The next link is to an article, and editorial no less, which was published a while ago and it points out that the cash used in unregistered transactions such as building work done outside the tax paying circuit is in fact theft.

While you might argue that this is so it is also the only way in which you can buy or sell anonymously and this is not always for nefarious reasons.
