Congressman Oscar Callaway lost his Congressional election for opposing US entry into WW 1. Before he left office, he demanded investigation into JP Morgan & Co for purchasing control over America’s leading 25 newspapers in order to propagandize US public opinion in favor of his corporate and banking interests, including profits from US participation in the war. Mr. Callaway alleged he had the evidence to prove Morgan associates were working as editors to select and edit articles, with the press receiving monthly payments for their allegiance to Morgan.

Throughout its history, America glorified wars in the name of peace. From inception, they’re perpetuated against one or more domestic or foreign adversaries.

They include mass killing, assaults and abuse. Pacifism’s called sissy or unpatriotic. Propaganda insists America’s peace-loving. In fact, more than ever today, it’s addicted to permanent war and violence.

Nonetheless, initiating them requires public support. Famed US journalist Walter Lippmann coined the phrase “manufacture of consent.” It’s a euphemism for mind control.

In 1917, George Creel first used it successfully to turn pacifist Americans into raging German-haters. It works the same way now. In 1916, Woodrow Wilson was reelected on a pledge of: “He Kept Us Out of War.” Straightaway, he began planning US involvement.

In April 1917, he established the Committee on Public Information (CPI or Creel Committee). It operated through August 1919. Its mission was enlisting public support for war and undermining opposition sentiment.

Barry McDaniel came to the WTC security company Stratesec, in 1998, to become its Chief Operating Officer. In the years before 9/11, Stratesec had contracts to provide security services not only for the WTC, but also for United Airlines, which owned two of the planes hijacked on 9/11, and Dulles Airport, where American Airlines Flight 77 took off that day.

William Rodriques is a hero. He was the last man out alive when the North tower he worked in collapsed in free fall speed on 911. He only survived because he was able to dive under a fire engine and had to be dug out after the tower had collapsed.

He was the last man out because he had a master key of the tower and helped to save hundreds of people when he selflessly returned to the building time time and again to try and save as many people as he could.

As was to be expected he was given a heroes welcome at the White House and his heroism was celebrated until it became clear that his recount of the horrible events of that day did not coincide with the official conspiracy theory. The one which claims that 19 young Arabs managed to confuse the entire military system of the US on the orders of a maniacal Extremist who lived in a cave in Afghanistan and who flew two planes into the twin towers and one into the Pentagon and the heroes aboard a fourth plane managed to down that plane before it could hit the White House.

Willy told about explosions in the basement and before the plane hit the building. He told about the destruction of the lobby and the sprinkler system which had been activated by these explosions before the plane hit the building and how people were drowning in elevator shafts not because of Kerosine pouring into them but because of the water from the sprinkler system.

He was one of the people who forced the 911 commission into existence against the will of the US Government and testified behind closed doors to the commission only to find his entire testimony erased from the report and his name not mentioned once.

I just found this file back. It is the interview Willy gave to Rosie O’Donnell who lost her job on the panel of the TV program the View because she dared to book Willy to appear on the View to tell his story. It is a powerful testimony of what really happened on 911 and it is a powerful testimony as to why we need a new and independent investigation into the events of that day.

If the sorry parade of European poodles – or what analyst Chris Floyd delightfully dubbed Europuppies – had any understanding of Persian culture, they would have known that blowback for their declaration of economic war in the form of an Iranian oil embargo would be nothing short of heavy metal.

Better yet; death metal. The Majlis (Iranian parliament) will discuss this Sunday, in an open section, whether to cancel right away all oil exports to any European country that approved the embargo – according to Emad Hosseini, the rapporteur of the Majlis Energy Committee. And that comes with the requisite apocalyptic warning, relayed via the Fars news agency, courtesy of member of Parliament Nasser Soudani: “Europe will burn in the fire of Iran’s oil wells.”

The intelligence assessment Israeli officials will present later this week to [Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Martin ] Dempsey indicates that Iran has not yet decided whether to make a nuclear bomb.

The Israeli view is that while Iran continues to improve its nuclear capabilities, it has not yet decided whether to translate these capabilities into a nuclear weapon – or, more specifically, a nuclear warhead mounted atop a missile. Nor is it clear when Iran might make such a decision.

Defense Minister Ehud Barak said on Wednesday that Israel was “very far off” from a decision about an attack on Iran over its nuclear program.

Barak was speaking on Israel’s Army Radio ahead of a planned visit this week by U.S. armed forces chief General Martin Dempsey that has triggered speculation Washington would press Israel to delay any action against Tehran’s nuclear program.

This fills me with infinite sadness.

As bounty hunters with bush knives entrapped them in a circle and moved in for the kill, the only thing this mother orang-utan could think to do was to wrap a giant protective arm around her daughter.

The pair seemed to be facing a certain death as a gang of hunters surrounded them in Borneo, keen to cash in on the palm oil plantations’ bid to be rideof the animals.

But, happily, a team from the British-based international animal rescue group Four Paws arrived in time to stop the slaughter and saved their lives.

The pregnant mother and daughter were captured and moved to a remote and safe area of the rainforest and released back into the wild – but not before the mother was equipped with a radio device so she and her young can be tracked to ensure they remain safe.

‘Our arrival could not have been more timely,’ said Dr Signe Preuschoft, a Four Paws primate expert.

Once when we were on holiday in Greece on the Island of Crete we visited a restaurant to have a drink we were sitting outside and it was a warm and beautiful night and we were talking to some of the locals.

One of the people we were talking too asked if we were Germans and to my horror I saw he had a knife out and pointed towards my husband. I told him we were Dutch and New Zealander and he put his knife away. The next morning we went to another place to have breakfast and to our surprise the prices had dropped by about 75%. What’s more people shouted us drinks (yep in the morning) and we were told that we were OK because we were not Germans. That is how much the Greeks still hate the Germans who killed many thousands of Greek in the second World War.

It was tried previously (several times) under “slightly different” circumstances, and failed. Yet when it comes to taking over a country without spilling even one drop of blood, and converting its citizens into debt slaves, Germany’s Merkel may have just succeeded where so many of her predecessors failed. Because while today it is the fiscal apparatus, tomorrow it is the legislative. As for the executive: who cares. At that point Goldman will merely appoint one of its retired partners as Greek president and Greece will become the first 21st century German, pardon, European colony. But at least it will have its precious euro. We can’t wait until Greek citizens find out about this quiet coup.
