On the Standard, Shill infections and how sad it is to see a good blog go bad.

I have been banned from the Standard blog for two weeks.

For a while I had high hopes for the blog because after threatening to ban me when I first started writing about 9/11 in the comments they allowed me to stay because other visitors reasoned that I was always giving links to information and I did not troll other visitors and removing me was intervening with my free speech.

That was four years ago and well before Eddy and Michael Valley two of the more recent writers on the Standard.

Here are some samples of their posts. Michael Valley fancies himself a bit of a geopolitical middle-east specialist which is sad because he seems to get all his information straight form the mud stream media. Here is his opinion on Iran, Syria and Homs. (Feel free to go there and do some commenting for yourself)

In a previous post I pointed out that with the mud stream promotion of the situation in Syria without any critical research and backup for the story the Standard was on a slippery slope and should we start looking to the Standard as a possible main stream media Shill.

Eddy who judging by his subject matter has never read a news paper outside of New Zealand and tends to write from a very limited “left wing” activist point of view with subjects only ranging from within New Zealand accused my responses to Michael Valley’s to be just conspiracy theories even though I give plenty of back ground information and links to support my assertions. It seems there are two sets of standards at the Standard. Michael Valley can just regurgitate what is written in the mainstream media without having to do any research to see if there is more information refuting his assertions but if I give these links refuting his assertions I can be dismissed as a conspiracy theorist.

One possible reason for the use of this argument is that it is the result of a Shill infection.

Michael Valley writes his crap and when people (not just me) point out the error of his way he will use the he/she is a conspiracy theorist manipulation which an ignoramus like Eddy will pick up because he doesn’t want to be associated with a “conspiracy theorist”.

If the Standardistas have any sense they should have a serious look at who Michael Valley is and if he already asserts an inordinate amount of control manipulating the less smart of the team behind the scenes.

People like Michael Valley can kill a blog in a matter of months by destroying the broadness of the base of the commentators by targeting outspoken and therefore interest attracting individuals and the less intelligent of the team into banning these individuals.

The Standard had a high standard and until Michael Valley appeared a wide variety of commentators and I honoured that with as much back ground as possible.

And while they banned troublesome commentators they allowed a high degree of varying opinions generating a high quality debate and for Eddy to ban me over a comment linked with plenty of resources for people to check, on the bases that pointing out obvious lies and disinformation is anti US conspiracy theory is a sure sign of someone wielding that manipulation tool to destroy the Standard and let’s face it, it was until now one of the few blogs were robust debate was not punished but encouraged and the only real political outlet able to compete with Kiwi blog and it is therefore without a doubt in the current political environment a prime target for destruction by the powers that be.

  1. MANKIND is not yet willing to know the truth … and even people who are more open to it, have their boundaries as well …. we can only say what we have to say and trust that one day the truth will be visible for all.

  2. Thanks for the heads up! The counter intel ops are increasing, which suggests something is in the wind? About to happen, as in false flag and needs to be set up?

Looks like a fairly long lead in, hopefully….?

    Why New Zealand?

    • New Zealand needs to play everybody against each other for the big last looting. Wouldn’t want the jobs begin to listen to people like me or my ilk. Michael Valley and another shill of the right wing side calling himself Gosman are a good team and they are playing it very smart with the conspiracy nut case card

    • Why New Zealand?

I think they need to have all bases covered. I would like to think that we (still) have a strong sense of natural justice, an egalitarian streak (women voting – world first) and we have broken ranks on occasion (nuclear free).

As a musician I know that the best ideas often come when you’re on the edge of life and NZ is on the edge of the world. Ideas are very dangerous things to TPTB.

When NZ declared itself nuclear free, it wassn’t the fact that NZ was nuclear free that they were worried about… it was the potential for the idea to spread. Denmark considered it a few months later and they got heavied by the US.

So it’s important to keep the edges of “the empire” subdued.

      Just a thought.

  3. I go from thinking Israel or America only ever attack near helpless peoples. So all will be well. Hopefully.

Iran vs Israel: What The Media Wants You To Forget

The corporate media have been given their orders to throw the focus back on to Iran.

Here is a recap of what they are trying to make you forget.

    1. Last Spring, Rose Gottemoeller, an assistant secretary of state and Washington’s chief nuclear arms negotiator, asked Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Israel refused.

    2. The United Nations passed a resolution calling on Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and to submit to inspections. Israel refused.

    3. The IAEA asked Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and to submit to inspections. Israel refused.

    4. Iran’s formal notification to the IAEA of the planned construction of the backup fuel-rod facility underscores that Iran is playing by the rules of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty which Iran has signed.

    5. Iran allows IAEA inspections of all its facilities.

    6. Contrary to face-saving claims, it appears that the US and Israel were both caught off guard by Iran’s announcement of a planned underground (to avoid being bombed) enrichment facility. The reasoning is simple. Had the US or Israel announced the existence of he new facility before Iran’s notified the IAEA, it would have put Iran on the defensive. As it is now, the US and Israel seem to be playing catch up, casting doubt on the veracity of Israel’s claims to “know” that Iran is a nuclear threat.

    7. The IAEA and all 16 United States Intelligence Agencies are unanimous in agreement that Iran is not building and does not possess nuclear weapons.

    8. In 1986, Mordachai Vanunu blew the whistle and provided photographs showing Israel’s clandestine nuclear weapons factory underneath the reactor at Dimona.

    9. Israel made the same accusations against Iraq that it is making against Iran, leading up to Israel’s bombing of the power station at Osirik. Following the invasion of 2003, international experts examined the ruins of the power station at Osirik and found no evidence of a clandestine weapons factory in the rubble.

    10. The United Nations has just released the Goldstone Report, a scathing report which accuses Israel of 37 specific war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza earlier this year. Israel has denounced the report as “Anti-Semitic (even though Judge Goldstone is himself Jewish), and the United States will block the report from being referred to the War Crimes Tribunal at the Hague, thereby making the US Government an accessory after-the-fact.

    11. Recently revealed documents prove not only that Israel has nuclear weapos, but actually tried to sell some to Apartheid South Africa. Who else Israel approached to sell nuclear weapons remains an unasked question.

    12. In 1965, Israel stole over 200-600 pounds of weapons-grade uranium from the United States.

    13. Declassified documents from the former South African regime prove not only that Israel has had nuclear weapons for decades, but has tried to sell them to other countries!

We all need to be Joe Wilson right now. We need to stand up and scream, “LIAR!” at every politician and every talking media moron that is pushing this war in Iran. And we need to keep dong it until they get the message that we will not be deceived any more.

Israel wants to send your kids off to die in Iran, and YOU are the only one that can stop them.
