Scotland Yard swoops on squatters ‘planning to disrupt Royal Wedding’

29/04/2011

You vill not demonstraaate against the Germans ruuuling your countrieeee!!!!!

So here is Charlie Veitch from the love police one of those arrested calling for all of you in England to go to London and demonstrate.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1381517/Royal-Wedding-security-Scotland-Yard-swoops-squatters-plan-disrupt.html

Twenty people were arrested today as Scotland Yard launched dawn raids ahead of the Royal Wedding amid fears of violence tomorrow.

Officers swooped on three squats across the capital just 24 hours before William and Kate marry at Westminster Abbey.

The Metropolitan Police said the raids were carried out as part of an investigation into disturbances at the student protests last year and the recent trade union march.

And then there were two: John Key and Don Brash, two Wall street neo-con insiders, will they rule New Zealand?

29/04/2011

Doesn’t it strike you as bizarre that one man who is not a member of a party can take over the leadership of that party? Apparently that is what has happened to the ACT party and the new leader is now Don Brash.

According to John Key this will not lead to Don Brash having a major role in NZ government although he may end up as a (non financial minister) but if you believe that I’ve got a nice bit of rain forest in the Sahara you might be interested in.

Both John Key and Don Brash are very much Wall street and Neo-con insiders and just the mere whiff of Don Brash in the halls of the Beehive will transform NZ politics even more than they have in the last two and a half years.

John Key and Don Brash have a relationship which goes way back. In fact when John Key was working as the head of Derivatives in New York and London he regularly spoke with Don Brash in his function as Banker.

According to the unauthorised biography published on19 July 2008 in the NZH. This article which appeared has been edited since and five of the pages detailing John Key’s career have been removed after I confronted the writer with an open letter. This is a scan of the hard copy I made from the newspaper in the library of Hamilton.

Don Brash for those of you who don’t know was Reserve Bank Governor from 1988 until 2002 and it was under his governance that in 1989 the responsibility for the Nations inflation was signed over to the reserve bank away from the elected minister of Finance. In other words it was under his governance that the reserve bank required the much coveted right to print money as it saw fit instead of our elected representatives.

Yesterday, President Obama released his long form birth certificate. He did so by breaking in on all TV stations throughout the US. A measure of intrusion usually reserved for Calamities like say declaring the state of emergency in the case of 161 tornado’s killing hundreds of people and destroying entire areas of America’s infrastructure.

As was expected this document available online from the White House site in PDF form was downloaded by everybody and their dog and subjected to scrutiny by anybody with a drawing or photo editing program and as a person who in her past had to work extensively with both Photoshop and Illustrator I was mesmerised by the simplicity with which even pimple faced adolescents could tear this document apart.

So lets here it from one of them and let me say that if you weren’t before I bet you that like me you will end up wondering why the hell they don’t just release the true certificate to the public.

John Key’s speech to the US/NZ partnership forum 2007 in commemoration of the events of 911

27/04/2011

From today I will be republishing some of the material I collected before the elections of 2008 as well as some of the research I did at the time.
This speech is one given by John Key when he addressed the US/NZ partnership forum. What is interesting about this speech which can be sound on the National site is that it clearly exposes John Key’s role as a Wall street banker and not as the short blurb on his personal site states a London based banker.

Speech to the United States/New Zealand Partnership Forum

11 September 2007 – 10:40 – John Key

Party Leader

Speech to the United States/New Zealand Partnership Forum

Auckland

The Rt Hon Jim Bolger, Rt Hon Mike Moore, Governor Vilsack, Hon Clayton Yeutter, distinguished guests. This morning’s moving ceremony at Auckland Cathedral reminds us again that September 11, 2001 is an unforgettable and utterly defining day.

It is one of those rare days where almost everyone remembers precisely where they were and what they were doing when they heard the news. In that sense, it is like the day President Kennedy was assassinated, or the day Princess Diana died, or, on a happier note, VE day, marking the end of the Second World War in Europe.

One of the characteristics of such rare days, whether they are days of tragedy or days of profound relief, is that they unite people. They unite people in their families and in their communities. They unite people of goodwill across countries and across political boundaries.

On September 11, 2001 my thoughts were with the people of New York and, in particular, my former colleagues at Merrill Lynch. The Merrill offices in New York were just across the road from the World Trade Center, in what is known as the World Financial Center.

Not long before the attacks I had worked and lived there, on and off, for six years. Whenever I think of my time in New York, my mind is drawn to those two enormous towers across the street, now no longer standing.

My colleagues had experiences on September 11 that no person should have to suffer. Moreover, three Merrill employees died that day. Two were people I had personally hired, and one was my boss.

For New Zealanders as a whole, September 11 brought a surge of sympathy for and a sense of solidarity with the American people.

Today, hanging in a privileged position on the stairs of Parliament House is a battered New Zealand flag. This flag was found by some of the American heroes of September 11 in the rubble of the Twin Towers. It speaks to me of the deep friendship between the New Zealand and American people. This friendship, as National’s Foreign Affairs spokesperson Murray McCully once put it, is the basic default position of New Zealanders.

That is the big picture in the United States/New Zealand relationship. Yet, accompanying that big picture has been the rift between our two countries over the nuclear issue, starting almost a quarter of a century ago.

I do not intend to dissect the history of that rift. There are many people in this room far better placed than me to do that, including our joint New Zealand chairs, former Prime Ministers Jim Bolger and Mike Moore.

They lived through, and were deeply involved in, the twists and turns of this often painful debate. Their presence no doubt tells you where they stand today on the importance to New Zealand of the United States relationship.

Independence on nuclear matters has become hard-wired into the New Zealand DNA. It is profoundly symbolic, and national symbols can be difficult for other countries to comprehend. But it is part of our collective psyche.

The first important announcement I made when I became Leader of the National Party was to confirm that under a future National Government there would be no change to New Zealand’s nuclear legislation.

A small country like New Zealand, which is so dependent on good international relations, cannot afford to have its key foreign policy settings changing with the political cycle. It is in New Zealand’s interest, and in the interest of those countries with which we enjoy close relations, to have a stable and durable platform on which to manage our relationships going forward.

I want to look to the future. I have little interest in debates, either economic or political, that simply re-litigate events of a quarter of a century ago.

For one thing, the international strategic environment is totally different from the Cold War environment and the nuclear arms race of the early 1980s that shaped both countries’ responses to the nuclear issue. I realise that history shapes the present, but I am interested in looking forward and taking New Zealand forward.

If I have the privilege of being the next Prime Minister of this country, we will have an independent foreign policy that has New Zealand’s best interests at heart, but at the same time respects the interests of key bilateral partners.

We may not always agree. But where we do disagree it will be from the point of view of a good friend which understands that the United States is contending with major challenges all around the globe.

In fact, on today’s key international issues, I see an extraordinary alignment of interests between the United States and New Zealand.

Let me list a few.

International Terrorism

Since it is September 11, I will start with the most obvious – the scourge of modern terrorism.

What, 100 years ago, might have been nothing more troublesome than the activities of obscure bandits and warlords in far-off places, is today utterly transformed.

Modern terrorists now have the tools to project their message of hate across frontiers, with lethal consequences. They can move money through sophisticated, internet-based channels that change every few hours.

Though the future will unfold in ways we cannot see, the common interest of the United States and New Zealand in fighting the scourge of international terrorism will not change.

International Trade

The United States and New Zealand have maintained the closest partnership on multilateral trade issues, particularly with respect to the WTO.

This is one area where New Zealand’s size is far less important, because it is as much about ideas as it is about power. As Clayton Yeutter knows from his close involvement in the issue, three New Zealanders have played central roles in the current Doha Round – Mike Moore, the former WTO Director-General; Tim Groser, the former Chair of Agricultural Negotiations; and Tim’s successor, Crawford Falconer.

So you know who to blame if the Doha Round doesn’t work – it must be a New Zealander!

More seriously, I hope this round is not the first-ever multilateral trade round since 1947 to produce nothing but a stalemate. If it is, we will all have to come back to the table. In today’s global economy, there is simply no substitute for multilateral negotiations.

It is not only international trade reform that will be left undone. There is likely to be more on the agenda, as the international economy powers ahead. There may be new issues in, say, intellectual property or services. New players – particularly the emerging giants of the developing world – pose new challenges.

The theme for today’s discussion is ‘sustainable’. What I want to stress is that a global economy is not sustainable without a vibrant multilateral trading system. That is why the WTO remains at the centre of our international trade agenda.

Climate Change

This is another example where I believe the United States has a valuable partner in New Zealand.

Once again, our two countries have taken some different decisions. Unlike the United States, New Zealand ratified the Kyoto Agreement despite its flaws, and a future National Government will not back out of that agreement.

Looking forward, we aim to play as central a role as we can in the negotiation of any agreement which succeeds Kyoto. With this in mind, we will be seeking to work closely with the next United States Administration.

Post-Kyoto, we must develop a multilateral climate-change agreement that has a far higher chance of attracting all the major greenhouse gas-emitting countries into a collective international response. To that end, I welcome the so-called Sydney Declaration which came out at the weekend from Apec leaders.

The declaration, though short on specifics, represents a good start in getting Asia-Pacific economies – which include some of the biggest in the world – to focus on this important issue. Though it won’t please everybody, it is a good step forward towards a multilateral climate-change agreement that includes all the major emitting countries.

I also believe New Zealand potentially has much to offer the international community in terms of research into agricultural emissions.

However, I have also made it clear that reducing greenhouse gas emissions is only one policy objective and must be considered alongside many others. In particular, we want to balance the objectives of countering the threat of climate change and economic growth.

Just as the United States will be concerned to protect its competitive position in the global economy, so will a National-led government be concerned to protect New Zealand’s competitive position.

That is surely the only sustainable political basis from which to approach the next international negotiation on climate change.

I am confident that the next United States Administration will find New Zealand a realistic and determined friend in the important multilateral negotiations ahead of us.

The Pacific

Finally, I want to talk about the Pacific.

The greatest asset New Zealand has on the international stage is its ability to play a major leadership role in the Pacific.

It is clear that a number of states in the South Pacific are in quite serious trouble.

For reasons we all know, we have spent the last 40 or 50 years putting the ‘one-size-fits-all’ model of an independent nation-state in place. In some places, such as Samoa, this model has, by and large, worked well. In other places, such as Timor Leste, the Solomons and Fiji, it has come unstuck. Fiji, in particular, represents a very troublesome case, with a series of coups over the past 20 years.

Nobody is suggesting we can turn the clock back. However, we are going to have engage in some new thinking if some of these states are to have a sustainable future.

Some new players have also emerged in the South Pacific, namely China and Taiwan. These countries can play a very constructive role in the region, but there are aspects of ‘chequebook’ diplomacy that do need to be addressed.

For New Zealand’s part, we are not talking about giving handouts, but rather giving constructive aid to those states in need of assistance.

I believe New Zealand is in a unique position to take a leadership role in the Pacific.

We are unlike any other country in the region. We are home to the world’s largest Pacific city. Some 270,000 New Zealanders are of Pacific origin. There are close family links between families in the Pacific Islands and families in New Zealand.

New Zealand’s Polynesian dimension, and in particular our Maori heritage have proved invaluable in meeting the challenges of the Pacific in the past, and will be in the future.

We need to build on these skills, and focus more heavily on the Pacific as the region in which we can make the most contribution to future stability in the world. We are uniquely placed to make a difference and we have the capacity to do more.

Our backyard can no longer be considered a quiet part of the world. You only have to pick up the newspaper to realise that. I am sure the United States understands that; and I am sure it appreciates the role New Zealand can play.

The United States has a myriad of interests and commitments around the globe, and has great responsibilities that go along with its status as the world’s only superpower. It cannot be deeply involved everywhere in the world. The United States, therefore, has a strong interest in New Zealand, together with Australia, showing leadership in the Pacific.

I see New Zealand’s involvement in this region being an extremely important contribution to our relationship with the United States, both in the near term and into the future.

The New Zealand/US Partnership

Normally, I would start my speech with a tribute to the New Zealand/United States Council and its Washington-based counterpart for organising this Partnership Forum. Today I have a particular reason for ending my speech with a vote of thanks to the organisers.

The United States/New Zealand relationship is in good shape.

I heard that message clearly on my recent visit to Washington. Assistant Secretary of State Chris Hill was very generous in his time and words. I benefited a lot from the briefing I received both from him and Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte.

The Partnership Forum is a highly successful attempt to draw together some of the common interests of both our countries. It makes sense to find occasions such as this – close to, but not formally part of government – to allow a freer flow of ideas. In that sense, I like to think of the Partnership Forum as a bit ahead of the curve in terms of the United States/New Zealand relationship.

But we are not here for an academic exchange. If, down the track, this excellent initiative does not influence policy, the Partnership Forum will not have fulfilled its promise. All the ingredients are there for a step change in New Zealand’s relationship with the United States.

The issues I have mentioned today – the best shared response to the scourge of international terrorism, where we go next in the WTO, the right way forward on climate change, and the right response to the more troubled strategic situation in the South Pacific – are issues on which New Zealand and the United States have much common ground, and where working together would benefit both countries.

In addition, National is doing a lot of thinking on external strategy and we will be releasing a policy paper covering foreign policy, defence policy, and trade policy in the weeks ahead. A key objective is to prepare the ground for launching an FTA negotiation with the United States.

I appreciate the past difficulties. I understand that the trade issue is now part of the political contest in the United States and there is currently no negotiating authority in place under which such a negotiation might take place. Nevertheless, it is very important for New Zealand to keep putting its case forward.

I am convinced that sooner or later the American people will find a new consensus to carry forward United States leadership on international trade matters. It is almost inconceivable to me that any future United States Administration would reach a different conclusion. That is in the hands of the United States, not ours. But the absence of an FTA is still of concern to New Zealanders.

I think the way forward is first to work to improve the bilateral relationship on a comprehensive basis, in which a possible FTA is an important part, but only one part, of the agenda.

Today I have confirmed National’s commitment to doing that.

Even a child born of rape has a right to exist: Challenging the notion of a Jewish people by Shlomo Sand

26/04/2011

Shlomo Sand is a Jewish proffesor at the Tel Aviv University. His book; The invention of the Jewish people, was on the Israeli best seller list for 19 weeks.

In this lecture he challenges the existence of a Jewish people and therefore the right of Israel to exist as a “Jewish” state which he also rejects as an undemocratic principle.

He pleads however for the acceptance of the state of Israel as a secular state and the development of first a secular Palestinian state after which both states can be united in a federation in order to merge into one state for both Israelis and Palestinians.

Well worth your time if you want to understand better what is causing the problems and how they can be solved.

China Proposes To Cut Two Thirds Of Its $3 Trillion In USD Holdings

26/04/2011

Zero hedge is a blog all of you interested in all things financial should be following. Tyler Durden the guy who runs the blog came up with this whopper and if he is right and so far he’s been pretty on the mark, we are in for very interesting times indeed. How about the US collapsing into a third world Nation within the year. The dollar disappearing as the reserve currency and all of us having to learn Mandarin for starters.

———————————————————-

All those who were hoping global stock markets would surge tomorrow based on a ridiculous rumor that China would revalue the CNY by 10% will have to wait. Instead, China has decided to serve the world another surprise. Following last week’s announcement by PBoC Governor Zhou (Where’s Waldo) Xiaochuan that the country’s excessive stockpile of USD reserves has to be urgently diversified, today we get a sense of just how big the upcoming Chinese defection from the “buy US debt” Nash equilibrium will be. Not surprisingly, China appears to be getting ready to cut its USD reserves by roughly the amount of dollars that was recently printed by the Fed, or $2 trillion or so.

Message from Maummar Gaddafi

25/04/2011

For you information; Libya had the lowest debt per capita in the world and the argument of Gaddafi bombing his own people used to start the war in Libya was a lie.

A statement from
Maummar Gaddafi, April 5, 2011

“I am under attack by the biggest force in military history . . . Obama wants to kill me, to take away the freedom of our country, to take away our free housing, our free medicine, our free education, our free food, and replace it with American style thievery, called “capitalism,”

but all of us in the Third World know what that means, it means corporations run the countries, run the world, and the people suffer. So, there is no alternative for me . .
I do not wish to die, but if it comes to that, to save this land, my people, then so be it.”

Qaddafi, 5 April 2011

For God, Queen and Country. Or how we kill, torture and contaminate for Gold, oil and drugs.

25/04/2011

It is ANZAC day today and John Key, so we are told, has found new inspiration: A gravestone with his fathers name on it has apparently been located in Caterpillar Valley Cemetery in the north east of France yesterday and he wants to know if there are connections to his family.

His real dad of course died as an alcoholic leaving his family destitute on a council estate but just like Kate Middleton has found that lo and behold she is a descendant of Edward III making her sort of nobility, John Key with the help of his publicity team of course does what every parvenu has done since the beginning of times; you make it up as you go along and if you don’t have the genealogy you just dig up something, someone, somewhere and if you go back far enough you will link up with someone who did something at some stage making you feel like you belong up there with the others of the parasite class living off the labours of others.

And what a moment to announce these connections too! Just when John Key has been invited to watch the marriage of the two of the top parasites and more young men are needed to die in their godforsaken illegal wars of aggression and just when the plebs is dragged out of their beds in the morning to go through the “Lest we forget” farce keeping them under the illusion that their dead young men who died in their wars to monopolise the resources in countries of other people actually mean something. They don’t. To them the young men who die are just cattle to be send to slaughter in their wars of greed and destruction.

From Gallipoli to Afghanistan, from the thousands of young men send to die in a useless military action as conscripted soldiers to the boys send to Afghanistan to help “rebuild the country” and who will come back contaminated with Deadly depleted Uranium which is used to kill and destroy the local population for the next 4.5 billion years they mean absolutely nothing to the parasite class enjoying the spoils of  war while our young die for Gold, Oil and the Drugs they sell to them when they come home broken and traumatised.

And until the families and villages from whence those who volunteer for their missions of destruction came and mourn them for the ignorant, naive and honest suckers they were, wars will rage around the globe and vain, narcissistic, greedy men like John Key will steal names from war gravestones to bestow upon themselves honour they don’t deserve, from those who died for their wealth while celebrating each others marriages and successes laughing al the way to the bank about the stupidity of those who died to allow them to live in lap of luxury.

The case for a new building 7 investigation 3: Tony Szamboti- Why the NIST Report is Non-explanatory

22/04/2011

This is part three of the presentation for a new investigation into the collapse of Building 7 which collapsed into its own footprint in 6.5 seconds on 5:20 pm on 9/11.

The Case for a New Building 7 Investigation 2: Kevin Ryan- NIST and the fire based collapse theory evolution

21/04/2011

This is part 2 of the presentation made for a new and independent investigation of the collapse of Building 7 of the world trade centre on 9/11.

The Case for a New Building 7 Investigation 1: Dr. Greame MacQueen- Foreknowledge

20/04/2011

On 9/11 2001 a third building collapsed. Most people to this day don’t know about this building which is why a group of family members and survivors of the attacks on 9/11 have organised themselves in order to bring Building 7 awareness  to as many people as possible.

What was building 7.  Building 7b was one of the buildings of the World trade centre in New York. It was a 47 floor high rise steel framed building which was twice reinforced to withstand a nuclear blast. It contained the bunker of Giuliani which was build there as a his emergency operating centre and the New York head quarters of the CIA. It also contained the library housing all the legal data on hundreds of Wall street banking court cases.

All of this was destroyed when on 9/11 5:20 PM local time the building collapsed in 6.5 seconds in free fall speed into its own footprint. What made this collapse so unique was that it was the only ever building to collapse in this manner as the result or so NIST claims of office fires or as the result of anything other than a controlled demolition.

In the following 1th part of a three part series Dr. Graeme MacQueen introduced by Dr. William Pepper, International Human Rights Attorney makes the case for confirmed foreknowledge of the buildings collapse.

How come TV senders such as the BBC and CNN and many fire fighters and officials knew that BUilding 7 was going to collapse as there had never been and never has been since a collapse of a steel framed building without the aid of a well executed controlled demolition? Ladies and Gentlemen I give you Dr. Greame MacQueen:

fukushima nuclear explosion- gunderson update 04 18 2011

20/04/2011

Let’s give TESCO (owners of the Fukushima nuclear power plant) the benefit of the doubt says Arnie Gunderson from Fairewinds engineering.

Indeed let’s: Here is his analysis of the situation in Fukushima.

Dr. Helen Caldicott speaks about the Fukushima apocalypse

20/04/2011

While John Key dilly dallies between the V8 races and formal dinners with army helicopters, Rob Fife proclaims Tokyo and Japan safe and Nick Smith is going to Japan to preach carbon restraint and having a holiday let’s hear it from Dr. Helen Caldicott who has been speaking the truth about Uranium and Nuclear energy her entire adult life as a paediatrician and specialist on the effects of radiation on the human body and what kind of an apocalypse we are facing.

Hypnosis, sharks, pigs and seagulls we’re not so different.

19/04/2011

Always liked sharks and always wanted to see one on a dive but they have proven illusive. Here is a video of a very special encounter. I can do this with my Kunekune pigs and I knew an animal trainer who once did this to seagulls and my husband has been known to do this to me so there you go we’re not so different from all that lives around us.

Nick Smith’s wild and wacky adventures

18/04/2011

Nick Smith is going on an adventure. He is going to tell the Japanese and the Chinese that because we want to buy their goods, they have to curb their Carbon footprint.

Apart from the bizarre contradiction this presents since we are the ones selling our coal to them as Trillion (who wrote an excellent rap song about John Key) pointed out on his facebook page it also shows with breathtaking clarity how far removed Nationals politicians and our government are removed from reality.

Let me show you how.  Here we have a man who thinks that it will make a flying jot of difference whatever he says in talks with two of the biggest economic powerhouses which reflects badly on how realistic he assesses is own worth in the world but not only that, in going to Japan to talk about Carbon emissions he exposes his utter and total ignorance in matters of urgency for the Japanese government and the Japanese people.

I’m sure visits such as these are planned well in advance and as such we shouldn’t be surprised that Nick Smith will go to both Japan and China on the planned date. Circumstances however have changed dramatically in that Japan now has two confirmed meltdowns on its hands and has more serious worries than Carbon emission levels.

In fact in travelling to Japan alone as a foreign dignitary representing New Zealand (with the idea of having a bit of a holiday it seems) and by ignoring the apocalypse developing in Japan, which within the foreseeable future will affect the entire planet in as yet unknown quantities, he displays such an arrogance that I seriously (once again) doubt the man’s ability to perform any public function with the degree of competence needed to further New Zealand’s interests abroad and at home for that matter.

Japanese earthquake map

18/04/2011

For those of you interested in following earthquakes  as they happen in Japan here is a link to the Earthquake map.

To date some 1035 earthquakes between the 4.5 and 7 M have occurred in Japan. Many of those occurred slambam under the Fukushima nuclear power plant.

New Zealand government and reserve bank lie about the cause of inflation!

18/04/2011

According to Steven Toplis, head of research of the Bank New Zealand research department inflation has gone up and is expected to go up to a staggering 5.5 %. The bank states that this is the result of rising prices of fuel and food.

This is a bizarre and untrue statement. Uncontrollable higher prices not connected to higher demand are the result of inflation not the cause.  Inflation in fact is the result of adding more money to an already diluted amount available.

The only government which has allowed that to happen is the US government. The Federal Reserve of New York by means of the QE 1 and 2 measures has added billions of money (the fiat paper currency called the dollar) to an already much inflated money supply in order to restart the ailing economy. Our price rises are the result of these measures and not the price rises themselves.

————————————————-

Soaring fuel prices and the lingering impact of the GST hike are likely to send inflation to the highest level in more than two decades this year, hitting households hard.

Rises in the cost of food and school and university fees have also been identified as contributing to pushing up the cost of living and inflation rates.

This morning, Statistics New Zealand will publish the consumer price index for the first three months of the year, which is expected to show that prices rose on average 4.6 per cent in the year to March 30.

The movement in prices was having a substantial impact on consumers, with rises “heavily weighted towards the goods and services that we can’t really avoid” such as fuel and food, said Steven Toplis, head of research at Bank of New Zealand.

Melting of Japan plant’s fuel rods confirmed

17/04/2011

Just in case you’re wondering what that means: No more protection OK! Fuel rods in a constant state of producing the most vile radioactive crap and just to make it worse this article states that the Japanese Nuclear authorities specifically mention Reactor three as one in complete meltdown. For those new to the subject that means that the reactor with the Plutonium MOX rods is in meltdown. To bring home that reality of this announcement: one pound of Plutonium vaporised in the air can kill the entire population of this planet.

SCIENTISTS SAY the fight to bring Japan’s crippled nuclear power plant under control could take three months or more, even if not hampered by further earthquakes. The announcement comes after another day of aftershocks, including one with an epicentre about 25km from the Fukushima plant.

The head of the Atomic Energy Society of Japan, Takashi Sawada, said yesterday that fuel rods in reactors 1 and 3 have melted and settled at the bottom of their containment vessels, confirming fears that the plant suffered a partial meltdown after last month’s huge earthquake and tsunami.

Engineers have been struggling since to bring four reactors under control by pouring water onto overheating nuclear fuel, and that water is highly contaminated as a result. Mr Sawada warned the condition of the plant could worsen if another strong quake knocks out power to its cooling systems.

“That would destabilise pressure and temperatures inside the reactors and the situation would become extremely unpredictable again,” he said.

What do Afghanistan Iraq and Libya have in common? Oh oops, Depleted Uranium.

15/04/2011

While my good friends at the Standard still think that Afghanistan is a good war and Libya was invaded to “liberate” the Libyan people while some of them think that Iraq was the wrong war even thought the rationale for invading that country was also liberating the Iraqi people from their “oppressor” let me point out to you that all these countries have been contaminated with huge amounts and I mean thousands of tons of “depleted” uranium.

So while you contemplate our liberating efforts with the US and NATO and our government secretly sends armoured vehicles to our brave boys in Bamiyan who are there to help the people “rebuild” their country after the “Taliban” consider this; why are we “liberating” these people with tons of Depleted Uranium which will start deforming and killing their population for the next 4.5 billion years?

Copyright and privacy: Or how the US wants to spy on you.

15/04/2011

Dear NZ, while your government is signing your autonomy away with secretive trades deals it might pay to realise that one of the conditions the US sets upon your demise is the copyright act currently rammed through under urgency. Why?

Here is what author and blogger, Cory Doctorow, editor of the megasite boingboing has to say about it on the Max Keiser show:

Secret Weapons Program Inside Fukushima Nuclear Plant?

13/04/2011

By Yoichi Shimatzu

Confused and often conflicting reports out of Fukushima 1 nuclear plant cannot be solely the result of tsunami-caused breakdowns, bungling or miscommunication. Inexplicable delays and half-baked explanations from Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) seem to be driven by some unspoken factor.

The smoke and mirrors at Fukushima 1 seem to obscure a steady purpose, an iron will and a grim task unknown to outsiders. The most logical explanation: The nuclear industry and government agencies are scrambling to prevent the discovery of atomic-bomb research facilities hidden inside Japan’s civilian nuclear power plants.

A secret nuclear weapons program is a ghost in the machine, detectable only when the system of information control momentarily lapses or breaks down. A close look must be taken at the gap between the official account and unexpected events.

Conflicting Reports

TEPCO, Japan’s nuclear power operator, initially reported three reactors were operating at the time of the March 11 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. Then a hydrogen explosion ripped Unit 3, run on plutonium-uranium mixed oxide (or MOX). Unit 6 immediately disappeared from the list of operational reactors, as highly lethal particles of plutonium billowed out of Unit 3. Plutonium is the stuff of smaller, more easily delivered warheads.

A fire ignited inside the damaged housing of the Unit 4 reactor, reportedly due to overheating of spent uranium fuel rods in a dry cooling pool. But the size of the fire indicates that this reactor was running hot for some purpose other than electricity generation. Its omission from the list of electricity-generating operations raises the question of whether Unit 4 was being used to enrich uranium, the first step of the process leading to extraction of weapons-grade fissionable material.

The bloom of irradiated seawater across the Pacific comprises another piece of the puzzle, because its underground source is untraceable (or, perhaps, unmentionable). The flooded labyrinth of pipes, where the bodies of two missing nuclear workers—never before disclosed to the press— were found, could well contain the answer to the mystery: a lab that none dare name.

Economic Collapse by Summer 2011 as a Result of Japan Crisis

12/04/2011

A friend of mine last week confronted me angrily. She said “you’ve been saying things would collapse now for two years and look, nothing has happened. Nothing is going to collapse”

I hope She’s right and I am wrong but here is what Micheal Ruppert has to say and I have to agree with him.

Is Japan Sinking?

12/04/2011

According to a blogger with the name Dutchsinse Japan’s main Island is partially sinking. I do not support or reject this video but I just thought I’d put it here so at least you can see the information for yourself.

Here is a link to the European Space agency’s page the presenter talks about and this is the Japan earthquake map he refers too.

Radiation risks from Fukushima ‘no longer negligible’

12/04/2011

The risks associated with iodine-131 contamination in Europe are no longer “negligible,” according to CRIIRAD, a French research body on radioactivity. The NGO is advising pregnant women and infants against “risky behaviour,” such as consuming fresh milk or vegetables with large leaves.

After the radioactive cloud emanating from Japan’s stricken Fukushima nuclear power plant reached Europe in late March, CRIIRAD, a French research body on radioactivity, an NGO, said it had detected radioactive iodine-131 in rainwater in south-eastern France.

In parallel testing, the French Institute for Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN), the national public institution monitoring nuclear and radiological risks, found iodine 131 in milk.

In normal times, no trace of iodine-131 should be detectable in rainwater or milk.

The Euratom Directive of 13 May 1996 establishes the general principles and safety standards on radiation protection in Europe.

On Becquerels and Sieverts: Fukushima is a number 10 disaster whether they want it or no.

12/04/2011

Finally the Japanese powers that be have raised the level of the Fukushima nuclear disaster to the maximum international level of horribleness. It is now a number 7.

No kidding!!!

New earthquake disrupts cooling at nuclear powerplant but no problems are recorded.

12/04/2011

Oh oops. TESCO removes all the workers from the stricken power plant but no new problems are detected.

Notes on the developement of the New Zealand police state: Tike Taane, Greenpeace and the use of the army to subdue civilian protests.

12/04/2011

As a 55 year old white middle class woman you would think that I would be happy to see Tiki Taane arrested for singing a song called Fuck the police.

But I’m not. In fact I’m horrified that an artist singing/rapping the song of another artist expressing anger at the arbitrary power one group of a society can wield over another merely because the ruling elite pays them a salary would be subject to capture and possible abuse by the selfsame group criticised in that song.

I am horrified because today while Tiki Taane was in jail for singing this song a policeman was declared not guilty of five counts of abuse in what seems a fairly constant stream of Police officers who are able to get away with random acts of violence in this country such as this, this and this.

In fact it scares the shit out of me that the opinion of one man only who happens to wear a police uniform can stop the legitimate freedom of speech from another while the New Zealand government orders the NZ army to assist the police in a civilian matter such as the environmental organisation Greenpeace  which is protesting the intended deep sea oil drilling operations by foreign interests.

Just for that alone I think that every blogger in the NZ blogosphere should link to a rendition of “Fuck the police” from Niggers with Attitude. Mine has to be Rage against the machine as that is one of my all time favourite bands for expressing anti Government sentiments.

Oh Shucks, Tumeke picked the same song. Oh, well great minds think alike I quess.

Regime Change Libya: Privatization of their Central Bank and the Theft of their Nationalized Oil Profits

11/04/2011

by Scott Creighton

(I couldn’t resist)

“Give me your hungry, your tired, your poor, I’ll piss on em

that’s what the Statue of Bigotry says

Your poor huddled masses, let’s club em to death

get it over with and dump them on the boulevard” Lou Reed

There is no question anymore as to why the Obama administration is attempting to impose a change of the regime of Libya.

On March 17th I wrote about the invasion of Libya being about two main objectives: privatizing the national oil company and the state-owned central banking system. I pointed out that the US and British inserted language in the UN resolution that allowed them to freeze the accounts of the nationalized oil company as well as the central bank of Libya. Well, before they have even won their coup, the CIA backed pro-west opposition has taken the time to announce that they have formed a new national oil company and central bank. Obviously they have allowed our neo-liberal economic hit-men to write-up the legal documentation for this action and I am sure it hands over control to multinationals outside Libya.  This is why so many globalist apologists and neo-liberals have been running around the last week claiming that the real government in Libya is the Transitional National Council.
